Police appealing for witnesses after two flown to Royal Perth Hospital following crash in Beaufort River

Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage of a crash that occurred on Friday after two people were flown to Royal Perth Hospital following an incident that left debris all over the road and Albany highway closed in both directions for several hours. Two Harley-Davidson motorcycles were travelling south on Albany Highway on Friday afternoon when they collided with a Mitsubishi Triton travelling westbound on Robinson Road, about 35km north of Kojonup. The motorcyclists, a 56-year-old man and 51-year-old woman, both received critical injuries and were flown by the RAC helicopter to RPH. The driver of the Mitsubishi Triton, a 20-year-old male, was taken to Kojonup Hospital but did not receive any injuries. The closure of both lanes on the highway caused kilometres of banked-up traffic for several hours.
