Plane trees facing the chop

Albany Advertiser

A pair of plane trees on Lockyer Avenue will be cut down as they pose a risk to pedestrians.

The City of Albany will remove the two trees in planter boxes near the Lockyer Avenue and Moir Street roundabout, adjacent to Dog Rock Shopping Centre.

A public notice published by the City said the trees were becoming dangerous for pedestrians, were unstable, leaning over and creating a tripping hazard.
