Albany photographer Ajay Hammer has won the Respect Bremer Bay photo competition for her stunning aerial shot of the town’s boat ramp.

Hammer’s winning photo highlights the south coast town’s crystal clear waters and idyllic lifestyle.

The competition was open to anyone to submit a photo to the Shire of Jerramungup website along with an explanation of why they loved Bremer Bay.

Hammer, who runs photography business HammaSnaps, said she was delighted to win the competition.

“I’m so over the moon,” she said.

“It’s the biggest and best comp I’ve won yet.”

Hammer won an orca experience with Whale Watch Western Australia, two family passes to the Bremer Bay Mini Golf, a meal voucher for the Wellstead Museum Cafe, a voucher for The Telegraph restaurant and a voucher for Bremer Bay Resort.

The avid snapper said she loved the relaxed community vibe of Bremer Bay.

“Living close by in Albany, Bremer is close enough to shoot off for an escape but far enough for it to feel like an escape. We love coming to Bremer,” she said.

“I’m so excited to see orcas and visit Bremer again soon.”
