Local Chris Pavlovich continued his strong form this season by winning a hard-fought super sedan feature race at Mt Barker’s Les Gorman Park on Saturday afternoon.

Pavlovich had already chalked up six feature race wins this season before prevailing over Damon Trouchet in a tense 15-lap final at his home club’s penultimate meeting of the season.

After starting from the second row of the grid, Pavlovich needed only five laps to hit the front, where he stayed and held off a late challenge from Trouchet to win his seventh feature race of the season by 0.396sec.

Peter Wallinger, Kevin Bell and Tony St Jack rounded out the top five in the final. Pavlovich was the overall points winner in the division ahead of Bell and Wallinger.
