Pair sing country duets

Country music duo Adam Harvey and Beccy Cole bring the best of the genre back to its roots, touring regionally where they know the songs mean the most.

Harvey and Cole will play at Albany Entertainment Centre with their Great Country Song Book Vol ll Tour on September 21 and promise an entertaining night.

Performing some of the greatest country music duets, Harvey said the pair knew how regional life worked.

“I always find it’s the country people who can relate not only to us but the songs — they don’t quite get the stories in the city,” he said.

“You’ll hear stories not only about the songs and the original artist that sung them, but also about each other so there will be lots of laughs.

“People have paid their money and come to a show and forget about the world and just have a good laugh, and sing along and let their hair down.”

Volume 1 of the song book was recorded by Harvey and Troy Cassar-Daley, but he chose Cole as one of his best friends to work with this time, saying she was one of the best live performers he had seen.

“It’s beautiful to sing those songs every night, share funny stories, share laughs and we sure have got plenty of dirt on each other,” he said.

“That’s why we have to be friends because we have known one another for 20 years and know too much about each other.

“Beccy loves all that traditional country music as much as I do.”

Some of the hits include songs by the likes of Johnny Cash, June Carter and Kenny Rogers and are sure to ignite memories of youth in the country.

Tickets to see Adam Harvey and Beccy Cole are available on ticketek.com for $25.
