Albany has received over 30mm of rainfall for the past 24 hours after overnight showers.

This puts the total for the past three days to almost 40mm.

Other areas of the Great Southern also received rain - Katanning had 3.4mm yesterday with 18.8mm falling the day before.

Areas surrounding Ongerup received a total of 18mm and Narrogin had 15mm.

Albany roads were flooded with large volumes of water last night, leaving drivers on Lancaster Rd in McKail forced to drive along the footpath.

Some areas reported hail - both Denmark and Walpole Police shared photos of significant hail fallings.

Albany is set for a top of 14 degrees today with showers clearing in the afternoon.
