Are coins on the outer?
With the rise of card and tap’n’go transactions, one Albany business has questioned the use of small value coins such as five and ten cent pieces.
In a post on Facebook, the vegebtale producer urged its customers to use electronic payment or notes to pay, rather than dozens of silver coins.
It prompted a fiery response from some, who suggested while coins remain legal tender they should be accepted, with many consumers forced to use ‘change’ to pay for vital items such as food.
