One Nation typo causes tension

Albany Advertiser

Albany Pauline Hanson’s One Nation candidate Anthony Griffiths claims the WA Electoral Commission has threatened to confiscate his how-to-vote-cards due to spelling errors.

The Australian reports that Mr Griffiths, from Jerramungup, had been contacted by the commission’s returning officer Sally Thomas over an incorrectly spelt candidates name and listing 10 candidates on his card.

Australian Christians candidate Ian ‘t Hart, listed second on One Nation’s Albany how-to-vote-card was spelt incorrect as Ian Hart.

The Advertiser collected a copy of the Mr Griffith’s how-to-vote card at a pre-polling site in Albany this morning, which still included the spelling mistake.

One Nation lists Liberal candidate Greg Stocks third on the card, followed by Nationals’ Rob Sutton, Labor’s Peter Watson, with Greens candidate David Rastrick listed last.
