North Albany product Rhori Williams-Jolley impressed with two goals in Claremont colts’ emphatic 54-point victory over Swan Districts at Revo Fitness Stadium on Saturday.
The home side were on the back foot conceding three early goals but rallied in the second quarter to lead by 11 points at half-time.
A blitzing third term was the catalyst for the Tigers’ win, holding the Swans scoreless while adding four goals of their own to open up a 38-point lead at the final change.
The visitors broke their scoring drought in the last term but the Tigers finished convincingly, booting three majors to run out 12.14 (86) to 4.8 (32) victors.
Williams-Jolley finished with 13 disposals, four tackles, two inside 50s and two goals across the four quarters.
Royals junior Cooper Childs was also lively, gathering 16 disposals to go with three tackles, four inside 50s and a goal.
Meanwhile, Claremont captain and North Albany product Declan Mountford was influential for the Tigers’ league side in their nine-point win over the Swans.
The home side led at every change and survived a final-quarter scare from the visitors to emerge as 10.12 (72) to 9.9 (63) winners.
Mountford collected 17 touches, four tackles and five inside 50s as the Tigers moved to third spot on the WAFL ladder.
Royals and Albany forward Tyron Smallwood booted a goal from 13 disposals while laying three tackles in a gritty performance.
Borden’s Anthony Davis finished with 10 disposals, one tackle and two inside 50s.
