Anyone who has dreamt of seeing the sun rise or set from peaks in the Stirling Range National Park will be excited to hear about a new tour in the area.

The Stirling Range Sunrise and Sunset Soiree by Off The Beaten Track WA will take people on a guided tour of Mt Talyuberlup for sunset on August 31 and Bluff Knoll for sunrise on September 1.

The new hike will become a regular event, and is expected to be run several times a year.

Tour operator Tracy Lindsey said she wanted people to experience the magic of the Stirling Range.

“There is an incredible energy there and the views are just magic,” she said. “We wanted to showcase the natural beauty of the range so created different hiking and adventure tours that feature these spectacular peaks.”

In a bid to bring more people into the region, the tour group has partnered with local businesses to include accommodation, transport, meals, hiking gear and national park fees.

“We have a really close relationship with the Stirling Range Retreat and Bluff Knoll Cafe,” Ms Lindsey said.

No previous hiking skills are required, but a reasonable level of fitness is recommended.

For those who want more adventure, the group announced in 2019 it was launching a Stirling Range and Porongurup Adventure Weekend which tackles five hikes over two days.

Originally scheduled for April, it was postponed to October due to COVID-19. Visit offthebeatentrackwa.com.au.
