A proposed new OneSchool Global campus in Albany is facing a three-week public comment period. The educational establishment is proposed for 26 Lockheed Road in Lange and would replace the school’s existing campus on Ulster Road. The development application submitted to the City of Albany notes the existing campus caters for 32 children and the new facilities would accommodate up to 50. OneSchool Global’s Albany campus operates in conjunction with one in Gnowangerup, with students spending time at each campus every week. The proposed Lange campus would operate five days a week catering for students from years 3-12, The development would take place at the northern end of the lot, with access from Catalina Road. It would include the construction of a single-storey school building and a single-storey gymnasium/hall. It will also include a junior play area, senior sports field, half basketball court, carpark and drop-off area. An indicative location for a future early learning centre is also included in the plan which would allow the school to accommodate students from kindergarten to year two. The development application is available on the City of Albany’s website and the public comment period will run through to September 29.
