Minor premiers Narrikup 10 will get a shot at redemption in the Albany Netball Association B4 grand final after defeating Royals Saints 7 in the preliminary final last Saturday.

Narrikup finished on top of the ladder, but went down in their second semifinal to Bullets 7.

However, they will get the chance to claim a premiership on Saturday.

Royals Saints finished third on the ladder but couldn’t match it with Narrikup, going down by 23 goals.

The first quarter was an absolute cracker, with both teams working hard to ensure their turnovers and possessions became goals.

Royals Saints goalkeeper Laura Tsipouras and goal defence Shanae Dixon worked hard at getting the rebounds off the shooters in a bid to give their team a head start, but Narrikup held a one-goal lead at the first change.

In the second and third quarters Narrikup shooters Makayla Mole and Pagen McKinley worked hard in the circle, feeding seamlessly with their centre players to combine for 24 goals, compared to Royals Saints seven in that period.

This left Royals Saints trailing by 18 goals at three-quarter-time and needing a big last quarter.

Royals Saints did their best to reduce the deficit in the last quarter, scoring six goals, but Narrikup still managed 11.

The damage had been done and Narrikup came away with a convincing 45-22 win.

Narrikup will now face Bullets 7 in the grand final on Saturday.
