Nathan Crudeli starred against his former side Railways in round two of the Albany and Districts Cricket Association to help Mt Barker win by six wickets on Saturday afternoon at Sounness Park. Mt Barker secured their second straight bonus-point win on the back of Crudeli’s performance. After being set 173 for victory by the Tigers, Crudeli, along with fellow opener Alex Fergie, shared a century partnership to set up the victory. Crudeli smacked 10 fours and a six in his impressive knock of 63 from 48 balls to swing the game in his new club’s favour. The star all-rounder was the first man to fall, dismissed by Jarrod Fuller in his first match against the Tigers since his shock departure in the off-season. The Tigers tried to get back into the game, as Fergie (38) and Jarrad Gardner (0) fell in quick succession and the Bulls were reduced to 3-107. But captain Jeremy Wood made 24 not out and Nathan Crosby chipped in with 26 to ensure the Bulls got over the line, their side passing the total in 30 overs to snare a bonus point. Fuller was terrific with the ball claiming 3-32 off his seven overs. The teenager helped the Tigers to 6-172 off their 45 overs after an unbeaten 35 earlier on. He was well supported by Aubin Spurr (31) and openers Coen Marwick (22) and Alan Pietersen (22). Spinner Paul Osborne took 3-30 and seamer Noah Middleton claimed 2-19 for the Bulls.
