The City of Albany is investigating the cause of significant road damage along Sleeman Avenue in Mira Mar.

The Advertiser understands the residents of at least two properties have been advised to leave their homes, but the City would not confirm how many properties had been impacted.

Last week, the City appeared to be making repairs to the damaged section with cones and sand bags blocking access to the edge of the road.

The City is liaising directly with the homeowners, a spokeswoman said.

“The City is aware of the situation in Sleeman Avenue and is currently liaising with landholders and undertaking further investigations as to the cause of the damage,” she said.

“The City will update affected landholders as investigations proceed.”
