Wellington and Reeves celebrates 70 years in the Albany real estate industry this year.
The company dates its origins back to 1948 as Home Furnishings and Trading Company before becoming Roy Wellington & Alex Reeves PL.
Over time, the name shortened to the trade name of today.
Wellington and Reeves sales and marketing manager Darren Leslie said the company’s success could be attributed to the passion for real estate of its owners and directors, who actively worked in and contributed to the business and the community. “Wellington and Reeves began as a rural real estate business and that still remains a core part of the business, but the goal was always to be at the forefront of all facets of the real estate business,” he said.
“Today, we have achieved that as Albany’s most successful real estate agency, with the highest volume of sales in Albany, the major land sales office, an extensive residential and commercial rental/sales portfolio, as well as a strong rural sales sector.”
Mr Leslie said Wellington and Reeves, including longstanding directors Barry Panizza and Kathleen Mier, were optimistic about the Albany real estate market. “We are looking forward to becoming an even bigger part of the local real estate market,” he said.
“Our passion for all things real estate is evident and we are continually on the lookout for exciting opportunities to expand our business.
“With a successful history, a quality team, a positive culture and commitment to the future, we aim to keep Wellington and Reeves at the forefront of Albany real estate for another 70 years.”
In celebration of the milestone, the company has branded all print media and its front office with a new 1948-2018 logo.
