Higgins Park in Rocky Gully will once again be a hive of activity on Saturday for the second annual Rocky Gully Revival Show and Shine.

The event will attract visitors to the small Muir Highway town for a second year running amid continued efforts to renew community spirit.

Organiser Rod Hovell said event planning was going well with people regularly contacting him to ask if they could still bring their cars along.

“A lot people have been talking about it and over the last few days my phone has been ringing hot,” he said.

“I’m pretty confident with everything and it’ll be another nice day.”

There will be plenty to see and do with about 40 varied market stalls, including food and drink vendors, and potentially more than 100 vehicles set to pack out the oval.

A variety of old-style tractors will also be on show while ponies will keep the kids entertained.

“We hope to be welcoming a lot of people into our community for the day so we can keep making the show and shine bigger and better each year,” Mr Hovell said.

The Show and Shine will run from 9.30am to 4pm on March 2.
