A 34-year-old Denmark man allegedly became aggressive towards police before he was tasered and arrested on Friday night. Denmark officer-in-charge Sgt Matt Hartfield said police were called to the Denmark Hotel about 8.50pm, where a group of men were reportedly involved in an altercation. Sgt Hartfield said the altercation moved along the street, with police intervening at the intersection of Walker Street and Hollings Road. One man was allegedly drunk and acted aggressively towards officers on their arrival. He was tasered and arrested at the intersection. Sgt Hartfield said the man was taken to Albany Police Station. The man will face Albany Magistrates Court at a later date on charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing police. Anyone with information is asked to call Denmark police on 9848 0500.
