A man has been released from custody as Homicide Squad detectives continue their investigation into the death of a 31-year-old woman in Albany. Paramedics were called to a home on David Street in Spencer Park just after 4.30pm on Thursday in relation to an injured woman. Neighbours told the Advertiser they were woken by emergency services arriving at the scene. A section of the street was closed while forensics officers examined the property. One man was taken into custody that morning, with Homicide Squad detectives sent from Perth to Albany to head up the investigation. However on Friday, police confirmed the man had been released from custody. No charges have been laid. Forensics officers were still at the property on Friday afternoon, accompanied by Homicide Squad detectives. The circumstances surrounding the woman’s death remain under investigation.
