Princess Royal Sailing Club are running a week-long course in January for junior sailors looking to get involved in the sport.

The course will run from January 16 to 20 and will provide children from eight to 12 years old with basic sailing training.

PRSC training director Paul Harriss said the club was looking to attract a younger demographic.

“We are trying to get more children participating in the sport and more schools in the local area involved,” he said

“We need young blood in the club, we want to get them out there and involved.”

The cost of the course is $250, which includes a season membership at the PRSC and a sailing log book.
