A king wave has crashed into popular south coast tourist spot, the Blowholes, near Albany.

The footage shot by Nicholas Drummond is a stark reminder of the dangers posed by of the south coast of WA.

It shows a massive wave crash into the rugged coast, blasting spray more than 20m into the air.

“We were a good 50m from the water and got absolutely soaked,” Mr Drummond said.
