Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre was filled with passionate players, ready to play round 13 of the Albany Netball Association A3 competition on Saturday.

This week’s focus game was Kangas 3 and Narrikup 3 in the A3 competition, in what was an exceptional game for viewers.

The first quarter was intense as the teams fought hard, with both sides engaged in a shoot-out.

Shooters Te Paea Keremete and Jorgia Tomasini worked extremely hard, producing accurate shooting for Narrikup 3.

Both teams ended the quarter locked at 13-13.

Kangas made a strong start to the second quarter but Narrikup applied tremendous pressure to cause several turnovers.

However, Kangas didn’t give up with their defenders Brontee Joy and Bella Medbury attempting every rebound while making some amazing intercepts as Narrikup led 29-24 at half-time.

The third quarter saw Narrikup gain more of a lead, but this didn’t stop Kangas goalkeeper Abbey Turnbull and her pressure was exceptional, resulting in intercepts to set her team up the other way.

The final quarter featured both teams’ determination, desperately wanting a victory.

Kangas were committing to every ball while trying to tighten the gap, with attackers Felicity Puls and Casey Evans-Moore feeding sensational passes into the shooters.

However Kangas left their run too late, with Narrikup 3 securing the win, 55-45.
