Junior strong in State title
Albany junior hockey player Tallulah Gouldthorp has produced strong performances while representing WA at the Hockey Australia under-15 girls’ championship in Sydney.
The 14-year-old started in four of seven games, adding a goal against Northern Territory, as WA Gold finished fifth of 12 teams after notching four wins.
WA Gold was the State’s main side, with WA Black also competing.
Gold recorded a 3-0 victory against NT on April 7 as Tallulah scored a penalty corner conversion in the 59th minute.
The talented junior started in the side’s wins against ACT and WA Black, playing a key role up forward.
Tallulah entered in the fifth minute in the April 5 game against Victoria White, which WA won 3-1.
Tallulah also came into the match in the early stages dur-ing defeats by both Queensland sides.
The tournament marks a busy 18 months for Tallulah, who has now represented the State in three national championships, twice at under-13 level and most recently in October, when she was named the fairest and best player.
