Denmark youngster Isi Campbell again mixed it with the best young surfers in WA, at the final round of the 2021 WA Junior Surf Titles held in Geraldton at the weekend.

Campbell made the final in the under-16 cadet girls division after an impressive couple of days in the waves.

However, she was unable to find her groove, scoring a combined two-wave total of 8.15 in the final to finish fourth behind Margaret River’s Willow Hardy (13.95), Augusta’s Ruby Berry (13.3) and Margaret Rivers’ Kaleisha Launders (8.5).JU

Campbell finished third in the series points rankings with 3060 points bettered by onlybehind State champion Hardy (4000) and Berry (3720).

In the series Campbell also competed in under-18 junior girls category but failed to make the final at the third round and finished sixth in overall points.

The State’s next generation of stars lit up the Geraldton coastline, battling it out through two days of impressive winter conditions to crown the new State titleholders.

Surfers were greeted with light offshore winds combined with clean groundswell to provide 2-4 foot surf that resulted in a high display of surfing across seven divisions across the weekend.
