IN PICTURES: Strong support for Claremont in WAFL colts clash with West Perth at Albany’s Retravision Stadium

A strong crowd braved chilly conditions to watch some of WA’s most talented young footballers at Albany’s Retravision Stadium on Saturday night. For the third time in four years, Albany played host to a WAFL colts fixture, this time featuring Claremont and West Perth with more than 500 people in attendance. There was strong support for the Tigers, who have the Great Southern as one of their country zones, but the Falcons prevailed by 35 points to remain on top of the ladder. Nine players from the Great Southern pulled on the Tigers jumper, getting the rare opportunity to play in a WAFL game in front of family and friends. There was also an Auskick game at half-time involving players from the Southern Districts Junior Football Association.
