Mt Barker Youthcare committee with the help of Bendigo Bank ran a pool party fundraiser for Mt Barker Community College chaplain Jed Law-Davis to provide pastoral support for students. Youthcare is the leading provider of chaplaincy services in WA. The party made full use of the recently reopened Mt Barker Memorial Swimming Pool. Students got the chance to try out the pool’s newly built facilities while enjoying the early sunshine before the wind picked up and the temperature dropped. Despite the weather students still enjoyed the pool and its new floating obstacles until 8pm. Food and drinks were provided as well as music to keep the energy high. Another pool party will be hosted early next year with the hotter weather expected to make for a fantastic event. Youthcare Mt Barker will also have their well-known bushdance returning in April next year. The event promises to be a great night of family-friendly fun and exercise with people travelling from far and wide to attend.
