IN PICTURES: MSWA Albany ride a family success with more than $42k raised

A little rain didn’t stop friends, families and students from participating in the MSWA Albany Ride on Saturday. With more than 100 people registered, Emu Point was a bustling cycling hub on Saturday morning as people prepared to set off on the 10km family ride to Middleton Beach and back. The action kicked off at 7am with a 103km ride followed by an 80km ride and a 40km ride. Spotted in the crowd were Andrea, Quinn and Nina Smithson who have participated in every Albany Ride over the past four years. The family has a personal connection to the event’s cause as Brad Smithson’s father Graham has been living with MS for more than 25 years. This year’s ride raised more than $42,000, which will help make life-changing differences to people living with neurological conditions in the Great Southern.
