IN PICTURES: Lower Great Southern Hockey Association’s big turnout to crown season’s best-and-fairest players

Players from the Lower Great Southern Hockey Association gathered at Middleton Beach Bowling Club on Saturday for the 2023 awards night. They were joined by coaches, umpires and officials for the presentation of their end-of-season awards. Manypeaks’ gun Chris Metcalfe was recognised for his terrific individual season, named the best-and-fairest in the men’s A-grade division while Spencer Park’s Tallulah Gouldthrope took home the top gong in the women’s A-grade competition. Mt Barker Black youngster Maxwell Wright was awarded the top honour in the B-grade men’s division while Mt Barker Reds’ Renae Parsons claimed the women’s B-grade best-and-fairest trophy.
