Footy fans rubbed shoulders with West Coast Eagles royalty at the weekend for the 10th Albany Community Hospice Footy Stars Weekend. Locals filled Motel Le Grande on Saturday night to hear career insights from AFL greats John Worsfold and Glen Jakovich followed by a memorabilia auction and golf day. The fundraiser proved a hit, raising about $30,000 for the hospice, pushing the event’s total contribution to more than $250,000 over the past decade. Organiser Todd McGregor said it was excellent to welcome “Woosha” to this year’s event and thanked Jakovich for attending for a 10th year.
