IN PICTURES: Families step out for breast cancer research at Albany Mother’s Day Classic

Families were up bright and early on Sunday to raise money for breast cancer research at the second annual Albany Mother’s Day Classic. Children, mothers and grandmothers took to the course in their finest pink outfits, setting off on a 5km or 10km walk or run from Binalup/Middleton Beach. Runner Leigh O’Connor was all smiles as she crossed the pink finish line with her baby daughter Scarlett. Yakamia Primary School P&C members were on the barbecues preparing food. The event, which was organised by Bodycare Health Club, attracted 127 participants who raised almost $4000. This year marked the 25th year of Mother’s Day Classic events in Australia and the second in Albany.
