IN PICTURES: Denmark Senior High School students celebrate Year 12 at Great Gatsby-themed ball

Denmark Senior High School’s Year 12 students have celebrated their last year of school in style at this year’s The Great Gatsby-themed ball. The school’s night of nights was held on March 12 at the picturesque Ajar on Shadforth, which had been decked out in art-deco style by the student ball committee. The students were treated to a three-course meal and live music from local band Dig the Dust. One of the school’s bands, Slam, also took to the stage to entertain the crowd. The students were given the opportunity to vote for their best dressed peers of the night, with Riley Coote taking out best suit and Ashling Jackson, in a dress she made herself, voted best dress. Best dancer went to Georgia Schober, and Matt Eyles and Mia Svendsen were voted best couple. School staff in attendance voted for Amber Ninyette for having the best on-theme Gatsby-style dress.
