IN PICTURES: Community joined by Hurn and Jakovich in support of Albany Community Hospice footy stars weekend

Community members keen to support Albany Community Hospice took to the fairways of Albany Golf Club on Sunday as part of the Annual Footy Stars Weekend fundraiser. The popular event always attracts wide support for a sportsmans dinner on Saturday night at Motel Le Grande followed by the four-man Ambrose event at AGC on Sunday, which both include wide-ranging auctions of memorabilia and items. Recently retired West Coast Eagles premiership captain Shannon Hurn was the marquee guest for the weekend and fellow Eagles champion Glen Jakovich returned for the 13th year. The pair recounted tales of their careers during the weekend, and Hurn also had the opportunity to visit the hospice on Saturday. About $30,000 was raised from the event over the weekend and is one of the biggest annual fundraisers for ACH.
