IN PICTURES: Big crowds and plenty of precious metal at 25th annual Albany Show and Shine

Hundreds of car lovers converged on the Albany Agricultural Society pavilions on Sunday for the 25th annual Albany Show & Shine. For most, it was an opportunity to relax and feast their eyes on some precious metal. But for some, there was a competitive edge to the festivities. Claiming the top prize on Sunday was Duane Jury, who won Best of Show for his HG Monaro. The punters and the judges were in agreement, with Jury and his HG Monaro also taking out the People’s Choice category. The People’s Choice Bike Award went to Kevin Ward for his Kawasaki VN 900. The top classic was Steve Carman’s HK GTS Monaro and the top original was Brad and Trevor Stone’s Ford XY. Sunday’s car show came the day after the traditional Poker Run which was won by Tim Watt in his Ford Mustang. Ian Latta was triumphant in the Go to Whoa and Top 10 Shootout events in his Subaru WRX.
