IN PICTURES: Albany Over 50s Recreation Association welcomes new president

The Albany Over 50s Recreation Association thanked its outgoing president and welcomed a new one at a luncheon on Friday. Val Chisholm was awarded life membership of the group she has led for the past three years and has been a member of for 11 years. Incoming president Trudy Powell said Ms Chisolm had been the “cornerstone” of the group during a challenging period which involved moving headquarters to 31 Graham Street. Members of the group all brought something to share for the lunch where other volunteers were also thanked for their contributions. Ms Powell said the group was always keen to welcome new members to join in their regular activities including social and line dancing sessions, keep fit music classes, walking and cycling groups, and card games as well as regular social functions.
