IN PICTURES: Albany Farmers Market stallholders come together for 21st anniversary celebration dinner

For more than two decades, the Albany Farmers Market has never let a little rain stop it from going ahead, so it was only fitting that grey clouds hung threateningly overhead for its 21st anniversary celebratory dinner on Saturday night. Stallholders from the market’s past and present converged on Mostert’s Farm for the event, which had initially been planned to take place last year to celebrate 20 years but was postponed because of COVID. More than 100 people who had been involved in the market attended the event where stories and laughs were shared over a dinner prepared by stallholders. The first Albany Farmers Market took place on April 20, 2002, with 13 stallholders. It quickly grew from there and has gathered support from the Albany community as well as visitors over the past two decades.
