IN PICTURES: Albany community comes out to celebrate 25 years of the Bibbulmun Track

Albany locals packed their town hall last week to help a group of end-to-end walkers celebrate the Bibbulmun Track’s 25th anniversary. The walkers were cheered into the hall after initial plans to host the celebration in the Alison Hartman Gardens were altered due the weather. The celebration was co-ordinated by the Bibbulmun Track Foundation. which has also encouraged the WA community to get involved by walking the track virtually or joining the end-to-end walkers for shorter stretches of the journey. The wet weather did not deter a number of supporters from walking the final leg of the journey as the walkers were trailed by bigger group as they made their way up York Street on Wednesday.
