Tens of thousands of people descended on the Albany Agricultural Show last weekend, drawn in by cute animals, thrilling rides, fairy floss and fireworks.
About 18,000 came through the gates over Friday and Saturday with Albany Agricultural Society president Rob Wright remarking the show is getting bigger every year.
“Overall the show went off really, really well, I’m really happy with it, we had good numbers and again on Saturday,” he said.
“We had an absolutely excellent fireworks display on Friday night, that went off well and I was really happy with that this year, it had great attendance and we had a lot of fun with a young fella named George setting the fireworks off at 8pm.”
