Human skull found in WA’s south
A human skull has been found in bushland in Ravensthorpe in WA’s south.
Police said a member of the public found the skull near the Great Southern town, about 300km north-east of Albany.
Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Kris McDonald said police were examining the skull and area it was found.
“Police searched bushland in the Ravensthorpe area after receiving information from a member of the public pertaining to what they believe were human remains,” he said.
“We’re keeping an open mind on our investigation.
“We’ve only found a skull at this stage and looking at hopefully getting some identification soon.”
