Peter Herbert has powered to his second Ronnie J Street Stock Memorial victory, claiming the same event he won in 2017, when he beat a strong field of rivals at Mt Barker Speedway on Saturday afternoon.

Herbert took to Les Gorman Park against 21 other street stocks, with 18 of those making it through to the feature race.

Herbert was joined in the field by former winners Tim Coxall and Brad Carroll but he replicated his effort of 2017 after charging from seventh place on the grid to secure a second win.

The support divisions attracted more than 30 entries in four categories.

A field of 14 drivers competed in the juniors and Blake Palmer won overall points for the day ahead of Bryce Fisher while Hope Batchelor rounded out the podium.

Anthony Perella proved too good in production sedans division two, winning from Jake Ford and Ryan Crofts.

Veteran Bill Penn returned to the winners’ list in the Great Southern as he took out the production sedans division one overall points with Shane Devonshire and Finlay Mills filling the minor placings.

Mt Barker local Chris Pavlovich claimed yet another win in the super sedan division ahead of Tony St Jack and Peter Wallinger.

Mt Barker’s next meeting will be on Saturday, March 7.
