St John WA is calling on Albany locals who are interested in paramedicine or a healthcare career to join an information session next week.

Volunteer positions as clinical volunteer non-drivers are available in Albany to help provide first aid at community events, festivals and concerts.

This role is a great opportunity for people to develop skills while giving back to the community.

People eligible for the positions must be over the age of 18 and no driver’s licence is required.

To take part people must be willing to commit 60 hours of volunteering a year and initial training will be provided.

Monthly training after that will also be provided to further develop the clinical skills required for the role.

An information session will be held at the Albany sub-centre at 240 Middleton Road on Tuesday, September 19 starting at 5.30pm.

To RSVP or for those who can’t make the session but are interested call Anne on 9841 4212 or email RTDC.Greatsouthern@stjohnwa.com.au.
