Heavy downpour expected for Albany
Albany, along with much of the Great Southern, is set for heavy downpours with the possibility of more than 130mm in the next two days.
With between 10 and 20mm expected today in Albany, things will ramp up tomorrow with heavy falls exceeding 110mm possible.
The Bureau of Meteorology forecast is predicting wild weather for the whole Great Southern region as a strong ridge of high pressure develops to the south of the State.
A tropical low inland from the Pilbara coast is expected to track south west and move off the Gascoyne coast during Thursday.
A rain band associated with this system will move over the south of the state over the next few days.
Much of WA has been put on flood watch, with widespread downpours across the state including as much as 85mm of rainfall in Perth over the next two days.
