Have dinner with Sheeds

Australian Rules legend Kevin Sheedy will headline a new event at Albany Racing Club on Saturday on the eve of one of the club’s biggest dates on the racing calendar.

The ex-Essendon and Greater Western Sydney coach will be the major drawcard at a sportsman’s dinner and will be joined by 26-time Perth Cup commentator Darren McAullay as MC.

The club’s annual Ladies Day will follow on Sunday and will include the $35,000 Pelicans Albany Golden Bracelet and the $100,000 TABTouch Fitzpatrick Plate. Albany Racing Club’s Calcutta for the Fitzpatrick Plate will take place during the Sportsmans dinner as well as a sporting memorabilia auction.

Tickets are still available for the event for $90, which includes a two- course meal, entertainment and complimentary drink on arrival.
