A stunning eight-goal effort to Albany’s Brett Peake helped him poll a perfect 10 from the coaches in his side’s win over Royals on Saturday in the Great Southern Football League.

That effort catapulted the former St Kilda and Fremantle player to the top of the leaderboard after round two, sitting five votes ahead of Railways’ Dylan Schorer.

Schorer failed to poll a vote from the weekend’s clash but 10 votes in the Tigers win over North Albany on Anzac Day has him sitting in second place.

Kangas veteran Graham Ross shot up the leaderboard with nine votes for his eight-goal haul against Denmark-Walpole.

Ross is tied with Joel Want (Railways) and Jack Beeck (Albany) while Lions veteran Ryan Kinnear and Mt Barker’s Daniel Patching follow close behind on eight.

Each league coach votes 5-4-3-2-1 from players on both side’s at the end of every game.
