Fremantle will bring their AFL community camp to the Great Southern next week, with players and coaches from the club to spend three days in the region.

The Dockers first to fourth year players will be part of the camp with head coach Justin Longmuir and his fellow coaching group.

A group of about 20 players will be in the region for the camp, headlined by midfield star Caleb Serong, ruckman Luke Jackson and young gun Jye Amiss.

Serong won this year’s Doig Medal as the Dockers best-and-fairest player.

The camp will start on November 16 and finish on November 18, taking in a host of events including school visits and an open training session.

The Dockers will be attending schools on their way to Albany on Thursday week before hosting a sportsman’s night at Retravision Stadium from 7pm featuring Longmuir and players and coaches.

More school visits in Albany, Mt Barker and Denmark will happen on Friday and then the Dockers will hold a coaching workshop from 4pm at Retravision Stadium.

On Saturday the Dockers will have an open training session for their players at Retravision Stadium from 9am to 11am before a signing session with fans.

Assistant coaches Matthew Boyd, Joel Corey and Jaymie Graham are also coming with the camp along with development coaches Tendai Mzungu, Adam Read and Brady Grey and WAFL affiliate Peel Thunder coach Geoff Valentine.

The Dockers community camp visited Bunbury and Busselton last season, which was a major success in their first regional outing since COVID-19.
