Albany’s Jade Dimer and her East Freo Sharks suffered a tough loss to Rangers in the WA Netball League 20-and-under grand final on Friday night.

The talented shooter started on the court and played close to a full game but her side was not able to claim the title as they went down by 20 goals.

After finishing on top by percentage over the Rangers, the latter proved far too strong in the second semifinal and again showed they were a class above in the decider.

Coming up against an older side, the Sharks went down 55-35 in the decider.

Dimer moved to Perth last year to pursue netball and is reaping the rewards in her first season in WA’s premier competition.

The 17-year-old had an ankle injury at the end of the regular season but bounced back with strong performances in the preliminary and grand finals.
