While the Federal Government has made the decision to keep schools open for the time being, Great Southern Grammar has announced the school will transition to an online learning program by Monday.

The school will use its GSG@Home program to provide online learning for Years 3 to 12, while kindergarten to Year 2 students will be given activities to do from home.

Year 11 and 12 students were the first to move into online learning this week.

The younger students will start on Monday.

Grammar’s boarding house will also close to try to combat the spread of the virus.

Today is a pupil free day to give the school time to prepare for the online learning phase.

On Tuesday when the announcement was made, the attendance rate was just 64 per cent.
