Albany’s Carla Geneve has landed herself a spot onstage at one of the State’s largest music festivals, Groovin’ The Moo in Bunbury next month.

The young singer-songwriter has become part of a line-up including some of the biggest names in the Australian music industry — Paul Kelly, Grinspoon, Ball Park Music and Tkay Maidza are some of the big acts also set to take the stage in May.

Geneve said it was overwhelming to be selected as one of the Triple J Unearthed artists to perform.

“I am not nervous yet but we will be doing some serious rehearsing and deciding on an outfit,” she said.

“I'd say in some ways yes this is our biggest achievement. It's obviously such a huge line-up but personally, I think releasing the first single last month was very big for us.”

After winning best regional act at the WAM Awards in 2017, Geneve’s lyric-strong folk tunes are quickly gaining a regular fan base.

Geneve will play at 12.20pm on the Moolin Rouge stage on Saturday, May 12.

Tickets to the annual national touring music festival are online at gtm.net.au.

Geneve’s music can be heard online on Facebook, Spotify, Soundcloud and Bandcamp.
