An 18-year-old Albany woman has been charged with aggravated robbery after allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old girl in the carpark of Coles in Orana.

Police allege the woman got out of a Holden Captiva about 1.30pm on Sunday and approached the 14-year-old who was walking in the carpark with a friend.

A police spokeswoman said the woman demanded the girl hand over two silver necklaces she was wearing.

“When the victim declined the 18-year-old woman assaulted the victim and verbally threatened her,” the spokeswoman said.
