Albany and Denmark Surf Life Saving clubs both had finalists announced for the Surf Life Saving WA Awards of Excellence last week.

Four from Albany and one member from Denmark have been recognised for their achievements and contributions throughout the season, across a wide range of categories.

Albany’s Perdita Beebe has been announced as a finalist for the AGL volunteer of the year award for 2020, while Molly Bowles is in the running to be named the young volunteer of the year.

In the trainer of the year category, Albany’s Jeff Medcalf is one of six finalists announced.

ASLSC member Peter Gray is a finalist in the Woodside Nippers Program volunteer of the year award.

Denmark representative George Mumford is in contention for the support operations volunteer of the year prize after being named among four other finalists.

The annual awards gala dinner has been cancelled and SLSWA will announce dates for online presentations in the coming weeks.
