Emu Point Bowling Club have broken a six-year drought, claiming the ladies’ pennants first division title in the Lower Great Southern Bowling League last Saturday.

The 14th and final round of ladies pennants games were held on Saturday with the first division title going right down to the wire.

Emu Point were able to beat Mt Barker Golf in their final match-up to secure the first-division title, which they had not won for six years.

Cranbrook emerged victorious in second division after a strong season of results, having already wrapped up their triumph heading into round 14.

The ladies’ pennants titles are decided on points, rather than a final to determine the champion team.
