Eagles stars boost event

Albany Community Hospice ran yet another successful footy stars fundraising event last weekend.

West Coast Eagles star Josh Kennedy and legend Glen Jakovich were the main stars of the weekend which attracted more than 140 guests. Organiser Todd McGregor said the event was a great success for Albany Community Hospice.

“It was the most successful event we had in eight years of doing it,” he said.

“Because of Josh Kennedy and the fact the Eagles won the premiership.

“We got over 130 people for dinner and 144 people came for the golf day, the field was packed.

“I haven’t seen the final count yet but I’m confident that we raised over $35,000.“

Albany Community Hospice is a not-for-profit organisation that is licensed as a private hospital to deliver inpatient palliative care.
